GRANDVIEW PEAKS NATURE TRAIL NOW OPEN

Todd Black 15.10.2010

We’re excited to announce a great new feature for our land owners and residents here at Grandview Peaks. We’ve recently completed construction on our scenic creek-side nature trail, spanning miles of walkways traversing 40 acres of pristine green space. The main trail is graveled and therefore suitable for jogging and mountain biking, and the gentle grade makes an afternoon stroll a breeze for hikers of any age or experience. The highlight of the trail is a nice open resting spot overlooking a magnificent waterfall – ideal for a family picnic or a quiet commune with nature. Only 2 weeks of stunning fall colors remain so make plans to visit Grandview Peaks now and be among the first to experience nature’s best on the new trail system.

Don’t Miss That Window

Todd Black 01.06.2010

As summer approaches, this is the perfect time to plan that vacation to Western North Carolina to find that mountain home you’ve always dreamed about. It’s still a buyer’s market – property prices are as low as ever and interest rates, still competitive and enticing. Whether you’re contemplating a change of scenery, nearing retirement or looking for a vacation home, we’ve got something for everybody here at Fall Creek Land Company, and we can’t stress enough the importance of taking advantage of this great window of opportunity that remains wide open.

According to HSH Associates, a leading consumer loan information publisher, the average rate for a 30-year fixed loan – frequently a benchmark for gauging overall mortgage rates – is now under 5% (4.93%, to be exact) and the average 5/1 hybrid ARM settles in at 4.24%. With rates such as these, homeowners are evaluating where they are living currently – is it the right place for them long-term? Does it meet all of the family’s current and future needs? Would investing in a vacation home or land now mean investing in the future when retirement plans are at the forefront of your life? Now is the time to look into property that is well under-priced yet offers all of the beauty, privacy, versatility and flexibility to build where you want, how you want and when you want.

There are signs that the economy is slowly beginning to rebound. More people are venturing out to purchase automobiles, furniture and major appliances or electronics. Real estate sales are starting to creep up steadily. And what will happen as the economy takes an upswing? Property prices will also begin to rise. At Fall Creek Land Company, when the economy took a downturn, we intentionally lowered our prices so they’re ready to sell. We have properties in several prime locations priced at less than half of what other much less captivating and builder-friendly sites are asking. We want you to become part of the community up here in Western North Carolina, and we’re committed to that.

Everybody loves to travel over summer break. Kids are out of school, and some businesses find it’s easier for employees to plan vacation breaks during this time. Why not combine a fun, exploratory trip over to Western North Carolina but do a little homework while you’re here? Check out the properties that are available and find out what building options exist in our two communities, Grandview Peaks and Broad River Highlands. Give us a call or email us a heads up before your trip. We’d love to show you around. You can reach one of our helpful staff members at 1-877-622-2246 or visit us online at www.fallcreekland.com. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Nearby Events and Attractions Worth Checking Out

At various times throughout the year, there are a number of fun events planned in our neighboring towns. Just up the road, Morgantown holds its annual Historic Morganton Festival every September for two days, the largest arts and crafts festival in the area. Plenty of great food and a wide variety of music including rock, country, and R&B. Take a look at some pictures from this year’s 28th Annual event. Considering a Mountain Home? We’ll Help You Do the Homework!

Todd Black 07.01.2010

I always make myself available to answer any questions I can about life up here in Western North Carolina. And no question is too silly or dumb to ask. But sometimes I’ll have folks come look at properties and they don’t really ask any questions and I wonder how they can make such a big decision without wanting to know more. more »
